Salary

We are looking for a long-term relationship with view to Partnership. Job Description

We are recruiting a practice nurse to cover maternity leave from May 2021 for one year. Our practice team is friendly, supportive and growing – we would always consider longer term opportunities for the right candidate.

Main duties of the job

The ideal nurse would have experience in treatment room procedures, including cervical screening and immunisations, with an interest in chronic disease management too. We are looking for a nurse to work at least 25 hours per week to cover Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. You must be able to demonstrate excellent organisation and communication skills. A flexible, professional and enthusiastic approach is essential along with the desire to deliver an excellent service to our patients.

We are a 5 partner dispensing practice serving the market town of Bourne, South Lincolnshire and surrounding villages. We have a strong patient centred ethic and require an enthusiastic Dispenser to join our team. We are training practice and currently serve approx. 13000 registered patients. Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Dispenser who is qualified to level 2 NVQ or equivalent to join our friendly and supportive dispensary team. You must be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills and be able to prioritise your workload.

A flexible, professional and enthusiastic approach is essential along with the desire to deliver an excellent service to our patients

Working alongside other trained Dispensers, clinical and administrative staff you will be responsible for providing an excellent service by dispensing prescribed medication to our patients

Applicant must be able to process and provide quick, efficient and accurate dispensing of medication to patients as authorised by Prescribers in accordance with the principals of good practice.

Job Overview

This is a new post amalgamating the roles of reception and Admin Sec Manager. As such it provides an exciting opportunity to develop the role and overall Job Description.

The post holder will be part of our senior management team reporting directly to the Managing Partner

Responsible for the day to day management of a team of 9 Receptionist and 10 Admin Secretaries you will be responsible for:

  • Basic HR functions of your team including leave applications and cover rotas
  • Set up and maintain computerised appointment system for all services
  • Updating the appointments system for leave/duty changes
  • Initially deal with complaints for your departments in accordance with practice complaints procedure and evaluate suggestions
  • Ensure adequate staffing of your departments for patient services
  • Provide induction training for your teams and ongoing review including appraisals and CPD
  • Administer registrations and deletions
  • Ensure Practice policies are followed and accurate records are kept with particular reference to: appointments, messages, visits, post, patient registration, filing systems, births and deaths
  • Assist in the organising of flu clinics and other such services
  • Liaise with other members of the primary health care team, outside agencies and Practice volunteers as required
  • Liaise with management team concerning staffing and organisation of work
  • Have a working knowledge of all software and hardware relevant to your department
