Book your Appointment through the NHS App

Book online anytime. The NHS App is the quick and easy way to book appointments. The NHS App is available to all our registered patients. Once registered, you can book your appointment(s) online.

Contact The Practice

You can contact us about a medical, administrative or prescription issue by clicking HERE.

This short online form is the quickest and simplest way for the majority of our patients to access or clinical team for assistance. Our practice phone lines remain open for anyone with accessibility needs who might find difficulty completing this form.

Please do not use this online form for urgent or emergency requests. The submitted forms will only be read during office hours. The forms will not be read on the weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) or on bank holidays. They will not be read Monday-Friday between the hours of 1800 – 0900. Please contact 111 during out of hours or 999 if this is an emergency.

Apppointment Booking System

Here is some information about important changes to our appointment booking system. We are aware that our current working system does not suit a lot of patients and so we have adapted to improve things for you all.

Every clinical question or problem will be via an online form to enable us to ‘triage’ your request. A GP will review the information provided and quickly reply with questions, advice or a booking link which will allow you to book an appointment with the clinician most qualified to deal with your problem. This might be with a GP, an advanced nurse practitioner, a physiotherapist (in our musculoskeletal service), a pharmacist or member of the medicine management team etc.

We will help you if you are not online.

We attach some information which we hope is helpful. Please do not call us with questions about this at the moment as our telephone lines are very strained at the moment.

We would like to reassure you that this will dramatically improve your access and experience of appointment booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you submit a request?

We strongly encourage you to enable the NHS App as this is the easiest and quickest way for you to get help.

If you are unable to do this, the next best option is to use our website and click on the “CONTACT US” green banner.

What if you are not ‘online’?

If you cannot use technology please call us on 01778 562200 and a member of our patient services team will submit a request on your behalf.

If you prefer to visit the practice, a member of our patient services team will help you to submit a request using our computers

With either of these options, our patient services team will contact you with the outcome of your request – either to give you advice or arrange an appointment with a GP or ANP.

Can you book in advance?

Yes!  Once we have ascertained that your problem is not urgent – you can choose an appointment time to suit you.

Who can submit a request on your behalf?

We would always prefer to speak to you personally.  We understand this is not always possible and so we will communicate with a carer or family member if we have recorded permission to do this on your records.

Many patients have this enabled already – meaning we can help you via communication with your nurse, carer, support worker or relative or friend.

Why are we making these changes?

We have responded to feedback that our current appointment system is not responsive to your needs.  We want to ensure that appointment allocation is safe, fair, accessible and user friendly.

The online system we will be using is safe and has been proven to be effective.

Where can you find more information?

Our website (www.galletly.co.uk) is the best place to get information on this, alongside our facebook page (www.facebook.com/BourneGalletly).

If you are not online, we would urge you not to call us about this until we ‘go live’ on 29th April, as our telephone lines are under significant strain.

After this date, if you call or visit us, we will guide you through the process.

We will communicate this information in a  number of ways to our patient population.

Please don’t worry, this will make your experience far easier and safer, we are here to help you.

    Extended Access Appointments

As part of our commitment to provide an increasing range of GP Primary Care services for our patients and local community, irrespective of where you are registered we provide GP Extended Access appointments Monday to Friday from 18:30 to 20:00 and Saturday mornings from 09:00 to 12 noon.. The service has been commissioned by NHS South Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group and is being provided by our Practice in conjunction with Allied Health South Lincolnshire (our GP Federation).

Appointments are pre-bookable in the usual way. If you are not registered with our practice but live within the community we are still happy to see you. Ask your GP Reception for an appointment within our service. You will be asked to consent to us viewing your medical record so that we can provide the best possible care and can only see you if this consent is given. Once given and you attend your appointment, our clinician will be able to view your personal GP record and any updates following your consultation will be automatically received by your Practice at the end of the consultation.

On Sundays and Bank Holidays appointments are currently available from 9am to 12 noon within our local area, via The Munro Practice in Spalding.

The Galletly Practice is providing this service in conjunction with other Practices across the area who are aware of our service and should offer you appointments if appropriate and available. We are working closely together so that you can take advantage of high quality care within your immediate locality negating the need to travel outside of Bourne or the immediate area.

To arrange an appointment or for more information on when and where appointments are available please speak to you usual Practice. This service also links into our same day appointment system for all our registered patients. Simply call us on the day you require assistance and your needs will be addressed that day by our GPs with no-one advising we have no remaining appointment and suggesting that you should call back another day. If not registered with us and this system would better suit your needs rather than waiting long periods to see your GP, our lists our open and we would be happy to register you as one of our patients.

For our Registered patients we now also offer Extended Hours appointments on Tuesday and Thursday evening between 18:30 and 20:00 and Saturdays from 09:00 to 12noon. These appointments are offered in the usual way via our Practice Appointment Line.

    Other Appointments

If you require assistance regarding an appointment with one of our Health Care Support Workers, Phlebotomists or certain qualified nurse treatment room appointments, our receptionists will make your appointment direct with you over the telephone.
