A reminder that we change to our new system on Monday 29th April. ✅We ask that as many of you as possible use the NHS App to submit queries - as this identifies you immediately from our end and makes the process much smoother. So if you don't already use this, please download it. ✅We have written to those who have previously declined to be contacted via SMS to suggest that you reconsider your preferences - we would NEVER share your contact details outside of the healthcare setting.✅Our staff training is now complete, we all feel confident and raring to go!✅Our local care homes, community health teams and carers in the community are all aware that things are changingWe are all very excited about this change, we can't wait to be more accessible for you all.Have a wonderful weekend ... We would like to share the sad news that Dr Geoff Smith passed away last week, at the age of 90.Dr Smith is very fondly remembered by our longest serving team members. He started at the Practice in 1961 and became senior partner in 1987 when Dr Sweetnam retired. He stayed with the Practice until he retired aged 60 to Norfolk. Cheryll, our operations manager fondly recalled that he was very much the practical joker, "I remember him leaving a message for me one Saturday morning to call a number he’d left, he needed to get a message to Mr C Lyon to give his apologies he couldn’t attend the tea party - I was calling Twycross Zoo and it was the 1st of April! 😂". She also remembers his kindness, "In the summer months he used to send me down to the town on a Tuesday afternoon to buy strawberries and ice cream for all the staff".We would love to send our condolences to Dr Smith's family and use this chance to invite you to post any memories of Dr Smith so that we can share your good wishes with his family. Rest in peace Dr Smith and thank you for your service in our community ... See MoreSee Less
